Build Anything Better

With Logix ICF, it’s possible to pretty much build anything better. Listed below are even more specialty applications you can build better with Logix. Remember though, the possibilities are almost endless, so please get in touch if you have an application in mind that is not depicted on our website. With over 100 million square feet of Logix ICF installed to date, chances are we’ve already done just what you’re looking for (or at least something very close to it)!

Safe Rooms
The resilient, steel-reinforced concrete walls provided by Logix ICF are ideal for stand-alone or in-home FEMA-compliant safe rooms.
Tall Walls
Logix is simply your best choice for ICF tall walls that build faster and save about 50% of the labor compared to comparable CMU walls.
Logix KD Series, end-caps and pilaster blocks are unique Logix accessories that create important efficiencies in tall wall construction. The Uniscaffold alignment system is often used with Logix tall wall construction and offers many unique benefits, such as 7′ work bays, OHSA-approved engineering and fast, secure attachments to the Logix tall walls.
Finally, Al Peterson, Director of Commercial Solutions for Logix ICF, has a very extensive tall wall and heavy commercial resume and is pleased to offer his unique insight and expertise to help shorten your learning curve and maximize your tall wall project’s success.

Military Facilities
With environmental sustainability as one of its guiding principles, the Army Corps of Engineers works diligently to strengthen America’s security by building and maintaining its infrastructure and providing military facilities where their service members train, work and live.
Logix ICF is often specified by the Corps because of our inherent construction efficiencies, built-in resilience and superior energy efficiency – all qualities that dovetail perfectly with their disciplined operating philosophies and guidelines.
Swimming Pools
Logix ICF is an ideal choice when building swimming pools. Logix “6 Steps in 1” ICF offers a speed of build that is typically faster than other methods. Plus, Logix blocks are easy to handle, and no heavy equipment is required for delivery, lifting or cutting (an important consideration for difficult-to-access backyards). Logix also easily forms curved walls that are commonly found in pools.
Experts calculate that up to 80% of a pool’s heat is lost through its sides and bottom due to the fact that the ground conducts heat far more efficiently than air does. Combined with radiant floor heating and Heat-Sheet® radiant panels, a durable Logix pool lowers your energy bills for years to come and can even extend your swimming season in northern climates.

Shallow Frost-Protected Foundations (SFPFs)
Logix-built SFPFs are a smart choice for building lots with poor soil or high water tables that would often be virtually undevelopable otherwise. SFPFs are built on top of the soil and do not require frost walls, grade beams or piles. Essentially this floating foam insulated foundation system wraps the home from the bottom up!
Logix ICF is ideal for this unique application because it uses many of the unique accessory products offered by Logix, including KD forms, half-height forms, taper tops and Heat-Sheet® panels.

What people say about building with Logix
Harvey Schellenburg
In just 10 weeks my 6-man crew installed all the above-grade Logix ICF exterior walls and the hollow core floors of a 5-storey 190,000 sq ft condo building.
Kurt Ruhland PE.
When a precast concrete floor is specified in an ICF mid-rise, the structural engineers do not have to engineer the floors as they would in a cast-in-place building. We also find that an lCF mid-rise building is easier to engineer than a masonry building - there is simply much more strength capacity in the steel-reinforced ICF.
Reema Masri
ICFs are cost efficient, fast and allows construction in winter. Just the type of building technology that mid-rise developers are looking for – high value for money in terms of return on investment, as it is fast and cheap compared to other non-combustible materials.
